What to expect when you stay with us after 19th July
Following the Government decision to ease Covid-19 restrictions from Monday 19th July, we have reviewed our Covid-19 Policy at Churston Way Lodge. We have decided to keep most of our precautions in place in order to protect both you and us.
From 19th July, the wearing of face masks will no longer be compulsory, but we strongly encourage you to wear them in public areas within the guest house. As before, the only exception is when you are seated at breakfast.
All other Covid-19 precautions will remain in place.
The Government’s decision to remove all legal restrictions is based on the success of the vaccine programme, which has reduced the chances of both catching Covid-19 and being seriously ill or hospitalised if you do.
However it is clear that the pandemic isn’t going away and, indeed, case numbers are rising.
The changes that we introduced last year were designed to protect you from Covid-19. They affect your stay with us in only a limited way. Guest feedback has been mainly supportive of these rules and many of you have told us that you feel safe whilst staying with us because of them.
Removing these precautions would increase the chances of Covid-19 spreading within the guest house and could potentially cause us to close temporarily. If this happened when you are due to stay with us you would find it very difficult to find alternative accommodation at short notice due to the current high demand for domestic holidays.
We will continue to review this position.
Thank you for your understanding.
